Lanny
Ray and The Reels
Lanny
Ray and The Reels are a powerhouse blues trio based in Southern
California. The band has played regionally since 1999 and has
opened for National acts such as George Thorogood and The
Destroyers.
Their first CD, Bare Bones,
is released by PacificSol and features a blend of Reels blues originals and classic
blues covers with their own fresh twist and arrangements. HITS
Magazine recommended "If you dug "Riding with the King,"
give the Reels a spin." One of the cuts from Bare Bones,
Chester Burnett's Who's Been Talkin', appeared in the 2001
film On Edge starring Jason Alexander and can be heard by
hitting the Reel Music page on this site.
BARE
BONE
Bare
Bone is blues with a soul. All cuts were written by Lanny Ray and
The Reels except for the two classic covers of Who's Been
Talkin' and Walkin' Blues. As HITS magazine described the CD:
|
"This Cali trio, fronted by singer-guitarist-harp fiend Lanny
Ray...turns out loud, greasy blues with authority and
panache"..."If you dug "Riding with the King,"
give the Reels a spin."
